Any health problems or accidents should be promptly brought to the attention of the directors. A hospital and clinic are located five miles away in Viborg. In the case of an accident or injury, the directors will contact the parents/gurardian before transporting to the clinic/hospital.

Bad Weather at SLCC

Tornado Watch - Campers and Staff in the Dining Hall Building or close to the building.

Tornado Warning - Go to the storm shelter. Kids go in a line with counselor at end of the line. Kids hold hands. Leave pillows, etc. in cabins. It's too much to carry.

Directors will inform the counselors if there is a storm watch or warning.

Directors/Staff will alert counselors at night in person if there is a tornado warning and there is time to come to the storm shelter. If there is not time to come to the storm shelter, directors will ring the bell continuously. Kids go to the stone cabins then.

We have a weather alarm in the kitchen and Director's residence that goes off if there is severe weather.
